Alpemare, Bagno Piero, Twiga, but also the Alle Boe municipal beach: Forte dei Marmi and Versilia dominate the ranking of the ‘Guide to the best beach clubs in Italy’, 2025 edition. This is the second edition of this publication, entirely dedicated to Italian beach clubs and produced by journalist Andrea Guolo and actress and blogger Tiziana Di Masi. To realise it, the two travelled 9,000 kilometres in 15 regions, visiting 300 beach facilities.
For each of them, they evaluated the experience under different aspects (location, services, design, food, drinks, atmosphere), to draw up a ranking with scores from one to three umbrellas.
The highest score, three umbrellas, was achieved by 13 establishments throughout Italy, including Alpemare, Bagno Piero and Twiga. Alpemare also won the title of Best Beach Club Italy 2025 (tied with the Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea beach club in Taormina).

The establishment acquired in 2017 by the tenor Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica Berti had also won this distinction in the previous edition of the Beach Club Guide. It stands out for its international clientele, privacy and luxury in every detail, further enhanced after the facility doubled in size.

The Piero has distinguished itself for its ability to adapt to modern times through continuous investment and innovation for a beach that has belonged to the Santini family since 1933. And which maintains a strong link with tradition, as evidenced by the wooden cabins with terracotta tile roofs, the wooden skates, and the seawater swimming pool.

Completing the top trio is Twiga, which recently passed into the hands of Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio. The evaluation refers to the previous management, still linked to Flavio Briatore, but it is difficult to imagine that the new management does not maintain the previous standards: the declarations issued by the new ownership actually suggest the opposite.
Another medal for the quality of Versilia’s beaches comes from Bagno Alle Boe, the Forte dei Marmi municipal bathing establishment that has been awarded the title of best municipal beach in Italy. For the last three years it has been managed by the same Santini family as Bagno Piero, but from next summer it will change hands. Once again, the hope is that an excellence of our sea will not be lost: because it is precisely the sea and the beach that are the true heritage of Forte and Versilia.
